Thanks to the generous support of neighbors like you, Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) has been helping to stably house individuals and families in Charlotte for nearly 30 years. Founded in 1993, SHC provides desperately needed permanent housing and supportive services to men, women, and families who find themselves homeless.
In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we are introducing a new event, Neighbor of the Year. This event will recognize neighbors who are making great strides and impact in our community.
Neighbor of The Year welcomes business leaders, government officials, philanthropists, and individuals throughout Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas.
On Thursday, April 27th, we will celebrate the leaders, philanthropists, and individuals throughout Mecklenburg County who have supported SHC's Neighbor of the Year. Surrounded by team members, family, and friends, participants will enjoy a happy hour and entertainment before the announcement.
